Hi, I've always waited for the rest of the family to go to bed then I stay up and read -- my way of relaxing before sleep. You know that feeling you get - your whole body relaxes, you heave a deep sigh "finally everyone's asleep and I can relax"? During our entire marriage (almost 4 years) Hubs has always gone to bed earlier than me so, I read awhile then go to bed. But he had to assemble all the furniture we bought and he'd keep going until midnight or so. I, repeatedly, asked him to stop and go to bed but he was "on a roll" and wouldn't. In 10 nights, I haven't got my 'quiet time' and it really upsets me! I try to read and relax but I can't knowing he's up -- not to mention his constant activity -- but I just read the same page over and over, I can't concentrate!! Is there an online article about not disrupting one's routine as a stroke survivor? Please help. Thanks! I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
